MySpace Extends Privacy Settings
A local news station reported the dangers of Internet stalking, cyber-bullying, and sexual predators hold for teenagers. Following the pattern of recent media-bashing of MySpace as the sources of these evils, I half expected the report to follow this patter. Much to my surprise it didn’t. What was once reserved for accounts 16- and-under, MySpace extended privacy settings for users of all ages.
Sure enough… I logged into my dormant MySpace account and activated the privacy setting. Now, only those within my immediate network can view my profile. Those in the extended network will only get a glimpse at my headshot. Another step towards keeping my private life private. Looks like I can resume my social networks. Yay for MySpace!
