Songwriting Project Goes Song Recording
This is the home stretch - I am rounding out the last few pages of a six-page final due Wednesday; after that I am a free man! Time to focus my newfound time onto some other endeavors - family, songwriting, recording, and running.
In my pre-paper procrastination, I downloaded a trial-copy of Mixcraft - recording / mixing software. Three songs were recorded in little under 90 minutes; I into this venture for process, not the product, so listen with a grain of salt.
The levels are way off, though not bad considering that I recorded with an Apple desktop mic and my laptop computer (real trouble was equalizing acousrtic and electric levels). The excitement is that these MP3's herald in a new age of guitar playing. Going from strumming GCD, joining the first band, songwriting, to playing guitar to compliment myself (considering that I don't sing). The way that I play guitar / songwrite has forever changed.
