No Spam Here

Every once in a while I'll decide to clean out the SPAM folder of my Gmail account. Out of curiosity, I'll actually take the time to read through the Viagra, Zibabwe foreign account, and software for cheaper adds that once plagued my inbox. Funny enough, Gmail is also known for using a script to scan through the language to select related advertising. I thought that was the case until I saw this ad:

Spam Confetti Pasta - Preparation time 30 minutes

Why the hell did google think that I would ever want to tempt my palate with a dish with the name of Spam Confetti? Perhaps it picked up on the words, "(messages that have been in Spam more than 30 days will be automatically deleted)." Then it dawned on me. I had just deleted the emails from my spam folder, and in its place was this bit of text left by Gmail:

Hooray, no spam here!

How ironic.
